Her story
Why Little Reactions exists
Dr O’Reilly trained first as a general paediatrician before subspecialising in paediatric immunology and allergy, completing her fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Along the way she added a Master of Health Leadership — because good clinics don’t run on clinical skill alone.
In public and tertiary practice she watched the same story repeat: anxious parents waiting months for answers about a food reaction, then getting fifteen rushed minutes and a letter full of jargon. Little Reactions is her answer — a private specialist clinic in Mudgeeraba where families are seen sooner, appointments run at a child’s pace, and every visit ends with a plan you actually understand.
She remains a general paediatrician as well as an allergist, which matters: young children rarely present with one tidy problem, and it helps to have a specialist who can see the whole child.
Beyond the clinic
A mum, as well as a paediatrician
Dr O’Reilly is a mother as well as a doctor — and it shapes how she practises. She knows what it is to sit up at 2am with an unsettled child, to second-guess a rash, and to want a straight answer from someone who isn’t in a hurry.
Home is the Gold Coast, where her own family keeps her honest about what medical advice has to survive: real mealtimes, real lunchboxes, real life. It’s why the plans she writes are ones a busy household can actually follow — practical steps, not a counsel of perfection.
Motherhood didn’t teach her the medicine. It taught her what the medicine feels like from the other side of the desk — and that’s the side she never forgets she’s talking to.

Dr O’Reilly practises in line with the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) guidelines, and provides care under Medicare with a valid GP or specialist referral.
